Where advanced engineering meets reliable performance—single-phase pole-mounted transformers.
01 General
1.1 Project Description
The 15 KVA single phase pole mounted transformer was delivered to Canada in 2024. The rated power of the pole mounted transformer is 15 KVA with ONAN cooling, the primary voltage is 24.94 KV, the secondary voltage is 0.12/0.24 KV. Designed according to standard CSA C2.2-06.
In western developed countries and Southeast Asia, North and South America, a large number of single-phase transformers are used as distribution transformers. In distributed power distribution network, single-phase transformer as a distribution transformer has great advantages, it can reduce the length of low-voltage distribution line, reduce line loss, improve the quality of power supply. High efficiency and energy saving coil core structure design is adopted, the transformer is characterized by the use of column mounted suspension, small size, small infrastructure investment, reduce low-voltage power supply radius, can reduce the line loss more than 60%. The transformer adopts fully sealed structure, strong overload capacity, high reliability in continuous operation and simple maintenance. It is suitable for rural power grids, remote mountainous areas, scattered villages, agricultural production, lighting and power consumption, and can also be used for energy-saving transformation of pillar distribution lines in railways and urban power grids.
We ensure that each one of our delivered units has undergone rigorous full acceptance testing. We provide one-package service from consulting, quoting, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, training to after sale services, our products are now operating in more than 50 counties in the world. We aim to be your most reliable supplier as well as your best partner in business!

02 Manufacturing
2.1 Core
| The iron core adopts the flat open bending coil core process, which has superior electromagnetic performance, small excitation current, low no-load loss, low noise, small size, light weight, environmental protection and energy saving, flexible core production, high quality reliability, small appearance size and other advantages, can meet the requirements of customers any size. | ![]() |
2.2 Winding
![]() | The foil winding transformer is a relatively new type of dry transformer compared with the traditional transformer, and its low-voltage winding is not wound by turns of flat copper wire, but is wrapped by a width of aluminum foil paper close to the height of the upper and lower yoke. The foil winding transformer has many advantages, such as light weight, less material, strong short-circuit resistance and high mass production efficiency. |
2.3 Tank
| Our company uses high-quality stainless steel as the raw material for the production of fuel tanks, and uses hydraulic machinery or other forming equipment to bend, cut and press the steel plate into the desired shape of the fuel tank. Butt the components and perform gas shielded welding or other welding processes to ensure the tightness and structural strength of the tank. All seals are sealed at the end limit; The metal parts inside and outside the box are rounded to remove hair, and the weld seam and seal are tested for three times (fluorescence, positive pressure, negative pressure leakage test); The paint is made according to the standard anti-rust requirements. | ![]() |
2.4 Final Assembly
![]() | Assembly method of single-phase pole mounted transformer 1. Install the iron core on the iron core seat. It should be noted that there should be no sharp corners on the seat to avoid cutting the insulation material. 2. Install the insulation material on the iron core. The function of the insulation material is to isolate the input coil from the output coil and prevent short circuits between the windings. 3. Wrap the coil around the insulation material. Pay attention to the winding sequence, which should be carried out according to the design requirements. At the same time, it is also necessary to pay attention to whether the winding of the coil is correct, otherwise it will affect the working efficiency of the transformer. 4. Assemble the terminal board. The terminal board can be a wire post or terminal. Select the terminal based on the actual situation. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the size of the wire post or terminal, to match the coil. 5. Connect the coil to the terminal board. When connecting coils and terminal boards, use proper insulation materials to ensure reliable and stable connection. 6. Assemble the shell. The main function of the housing is to protect the coil and safely isolate the input and output. When assembling, it is necessary to pay attention to the size and material of the shell, and also to consider the requirements of heat dissipation and protection. |
03 Testing
Single-phase column transformers usually need to undergo the following test tests:
Insulation test: including insulation resistance test, dielectric loss factor test and partial discharge test to ensure the integrity of the insulation system.
Voltage test: Apply a certain voltage between the high voltage lead and the low voltage lead to test whether the insulation of the transformer can withstand high voltage.
Resistance testing: Test the resistance of the winding and grounding system to ensure that it meets the design requirements.
No-load test: Test the electrical performance of the transformer under no-load conditions, including no-load loss and no-load current.
Load test: test the performance of the transformer under rated load to ensure that it can work stably and reliably.
Temperature rise test: under rated load conditions, test the temperature rise of the transformer to ensure that it will not be damaged by overheating.
Overload test: Test the overload capacity of the transformer to ensure that it will not be damaged in the case of excessive temporary load.
Short circuit test: Test the short circuit capability of the transformer to ensure that it will not be damaged in the case of short circuit.
