1.1 Project Description
25 kVA single phase pole mounted transformer was delivered to Canada in 2025. The rated power of the transformer is 25 kVA with ONAN cooling. The high voltage is 13.8 kV with ±2*2.5% tapping range (NLTC), the low voltage is 0.12/0.24 kV, they formed a vector group of Ii6.
This is a highly reliable 125kV BIL Pole Mounted Transformer designed for demanding environments. Its exceptional 125kV Basic Impulse Insulation Level provides industry-leading protection against transient overvoltages, making it ideally suited for lightning-prone areas, coastal regions, and other locations with stringent surge protection requirements. The unit features a reinforced oil-paper insulation system and a hermetically sealed construction, ensuring long-term stability of the internal dielectric medium and enabling maintenance-free operation. 03 Testing
SCOTECH’s pole-mounted transformer undergoes rigorous testing covering turns ratio tests on each connection, polarity verification, no-load loss and exciting current measurements at 105% rated voltage, load loss and impedance tests at rated current and voltage, as well as applied and induced voltage withstand tests, plus a transformer tank leak-detection test. These comprehensive assessments ensure compliance with industry standards, validate electrical performance and structural integrity, and guarantee reliable, safe operation in distribution networks.
