Reliable and efficient light pole transformers are designed for rural electrification and public distribution!
01 General
1.1 Project Description
In 2025, our long-term customer in Guyana placed another bulk order, including 50 units of 25 kVA single-phase pole-mounted transformers, alongside 50 kVA and 100 kVA models. This repeat purchase reflects their continued trust in the quality and performance of our products. With growing demand for rural electrification, residential upgrades, and decentralized power supply, these 25 kVA transformers are particularly suitable for low-load areas where stability, reliability, and efficiency are critical.
These 25 kVA single phase light pole transformers comply with IEEE & ANSI C57.12.00 standards, featuring a 13.8 kV primary voltage and a 120/240 V dual secondary output, built with copper windings, 2% impedance, and a ±2×2.5% no-load tap changer. With a cooling method of ONAN, they offer reliable operation at 60 Hz, with no-load loss of 98 W and load loss of 289 W, making them an energy-efficient solution for overhead distribution systems in remote regions. They can also function as light pole transformers in public lighting systems, parking lots, or street-level distribution networks, where compact size and reliable performance are essential.
With decades of experience in transformer manufacturing, we specialize in the design and production of single-phase pole-mounted transformers, offering highly customized solutions to meet diverse application needs. Our products are widely used across North and South America, backed by strict adherence to international standards, robust quality control, and responsive service.

02 Manufacturing
2.1 Core
| This pole mounted transformer adopts energy-saving wound cores with low no-load loss and low noise, which effectively improves energy efficiency and operational reliability. the core surface is treated with moisture-proof and anti-corrosion coating, providing good protection and ensuring stable performance in outdoor environments. | ![]() |
2.2 Winding
![]() | Featuring two HV bushings and three LV bushings, this transformer uses copper foil for the high-voltage winding and copper conductor wire for the low-voltage side. All coils undergo vacuum drying and insulation treatment to ensure dielectric strength and stable performance in humid outdoor conditions. |
2.3 Tank
| The tank is constructed from high-quality mild steel and coated with epoxy paint for superior corrosion resistance. It features a sealed design that passes airtightness tests, ensuring excellent sealing to prevent oil leaks and moisture ingress. Measuring 885mm in height, 660mm in width, and 580mm in length, it supports ONAN cooling to maintain stable transformer operation and efficient heat dissipation. | ![]() |
2.4 Final Assembly
![]() | During assembly, the high-voltage bushings are mounted on the top and use eye bolt types rated at 18 kV with a lightning impulse withstand voltage of 125 kV, providing excellent creepage distance and electrical insulation. The low-voltage bushings are side-mounted, rated at 250 A. A pressure relief valve is also installed, with a release range of 0.03 ± 0.01 MPa, ensuring safe operation under high temperature or abnormal internal pressure conditions. |
