Classification
Applications
A unit substation transformer is a integrated assembly that combines medium-voltage switchgear, a transformer, and low-voltage switchgear into a single, compact unit. Its primary function is to transform and distribute power locally for concentrated loads.
Powers heavy machinery, production lines, and motors in factories, chemical plants, and refineries by providing localized power conversion near the load center.
Serves as the main electrical heart for large buildings like skyscrapers, shopping malls, and hospitals, distributing power to lighting, elevators, and HVAC systems.
Ensures reliable power for critical facilities such as airports, wastewater treatment plants, rail systems, and public campuses.
Used as a “power collection and step-up unit” in wind and solar farms to boost the generated voltage to the level required for grid connection.
Provides the highly reliable, high-quality power essential for IT server loads, forming the critical starting point of the data center’s electrical distribution system.
Delivers robust and often explosion-proof power in harsh mining environments to operate heavy equipment like crushers and conveyors.
Components
Used for installing and leading out the current signals of Bushing Current Transformers (BCT), enabling the measurement of high-voltage side current and the transmission of protection signals.
A cabinet integrating the transformer’s operation control components, which can realize the start-stop control of equipment such as fans and tap changers, and the processing of operation status monitoring signals.
A protective cabinet specially designed for installing Current Transformers (CT), which protects the CT, organizes wiring, and isolates electrical circuits.
A valve with both oil draining and oil sampling functions. It can discharge transformer oil during maintenance and extract oil samples for oil quality detection.
An auxiliary cooling component of the transformer. It starts automatically or manually when the oil temperature rises, enhancing the heat dissipation efficiency of the radiator through forced ventilation to maintain the oil temperature within the normal range.
An insulating connection component on the high-voltage side. One end is connected to the internal high-voltage winding of the transformer, and the other end is led out to the external high-voltage line, isolating the high voltage from the grounded shell.
An insulating connection component on the low-voltage side, used to connect the internal low-voltage winding to the external low-voltage power distribution system, realizing the safe output of low-voltage current.
A metal plate marking the core parameters of the transformer, including key information such as model, rated capacity, rated voltage, rated current, impedance voltage, manufacturer, and production date.
A device that intuitively displays the liquid level of insulating oil in the transformer tank, helping operation and maintenance personnel judge whether the oil is sufficient and preventing faults caused by oil shortage.
A safety component that can quickly release pressure when the pressure in the oil tank rises abnormally due to faults (such as internal short circuits), avoiding deformation or explosion of the oil tank.
A type of pressure relief device that adjusts pressure through the opening and closing of the valve. It opens to release pressure when the pressure exceeds the set value and can reset after the pressure returns to normal.
The main heat dissipation component of the transformer. It increases the contact area between the oil and the air through heat dissipation fins, allowing the heat of the insulating oil to be naturally dissipated into the air and reducing the oil temperature.
A protection component that monitors the pressure rise rate in the oil tank. If the pressure rises rapidly (mostly a sign of internal failure), it immediately triggers a protection signal or a tripping action.
A component that adjusts the output voltage of the transformer. It changes the number of winding turns by switching the taps of the winding, compensates for grid voltage fluctuations, and ensures stable output voltage.
A device that directly monitors the temperature of the insulating oil in the transformer tank, usually with scales or a digital display to intuitively reflect the oil temperature status.
An oil filling valve located at the top of the oil tank, used for initial oil filling of the transformer or supplementing insulating oil during operation, ensuring the oil level is maintained within the specified range.
An auxiliary device mostly used during transformer oil filling or maintenance. It can extract air from the oil tank to form a vacuum, avoiding air bubbles mixed in the oil affecting insulation performance, or maintaining a specific pressure environment in the oil tank.
A device that monitors the temperature of the transformer winding. It reflects the heating status of the winding through oil temperature and load current conversion or direct measurement, and is a key basis for judging whether the winding is overheated.
