The content of the training course covers the definition of temperature rise, measurement methods and influencing factors. The training highlighted the key role of temperature rise management in transformer performance and life, and explained how to control temperature rise through thermal design, load management and temperature monitoring technology to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Definition of temperature rise: The definition of temperature rise refers to the amount of increase in the temperature of the surface or inside of an electrical equipment or component relative to the ambient temperature during normal operation. Specifically, temperature rise reflects the increase in temperature of a device or component in its operating state due to the passage of current or other operating conditions.
Temperature rise test: In the test process, it is mainly divided into two stages, the total consumption stage and the rated current stage. During the application of the total loss stage, the main purpose is to measure the top oil temperature rise. In the second stage, when the top temperature rise measurement is completed, the rated current can be applied for an hour, and then the power supply can be quickly cut off, and the short circuit is opened to measure the resistance value of high and low voltage. Then based on the above measurement data, the rated frequency, rated voltage and rated current of the transformer, and the average temperature rise of the low-voltage winding are effectively calculated.
Insulation class and corresponding temperature:
Class A insulation: Maximum operating temperature is 105°C
Class B insulation: Maximum operating temperature 130°C.
Class F insulation: Maximum operating temperature is 155°C.
Class H insulation: Maximum operating temperature 180°C.
